Another huge week at Sorta Kinda Music with pre-release excitement for the first UK producer to join the Sorta Kinda family, Declan Knapp and his rave inspired house heater, ‘Real Me’. Official release date is July 15, so put that in your calendar, and keep your eye on our socials because it’s going to be big! Just between you and me, it’s already had support from Richie Hawtin and Don Diablo.
In the mix this week on Sorta Kinda Radio, Armand Van Helden & Brittles ‘The Promoter’. With a cheeky stab at some clubs and the whole push for flexing at VIP tables with bottle service, it’s a message I can get behind. As the lyrics say “On the dance floor is where I want to be | No, I like the dance floor where I can be me”. I’m definitely keen for a return to rave culture, sweaty dancefloors, great connections, and great music. Scrap VIP booths or tables, let’s dance!
On rave culture, I’m loving a return to ravey sounds, and Melbourne’s Airwolf Paradise doesn’t disappoint with ‘Don’t Hurt Me Baby’. You’ll be singing along to the super catchy hook ‘Don’t Hurt Me Baby’ in no time at all.
Another Aussie doing great things is Needs No Sleep he creates some really fresh music with a unique unique sound, groover ‘Notorious’ featuring KXNE is in the mix this week.
